Brian McFadden explains why daughters won't be bridesmaids at wedding to Danielle Parkinson giving dig to ex Kerry Katona

Brian McFadden has admitted that his daughters Molly and Lilly will not be bridesmaids when he gets married to Danielle Parkinson.

The former Westlife singer dropped the bombshell while giving a sly dig to ex-partner Kerry Katona.

Brian - who has already been married twice - split from Kerry in 2004.

The Dubliner said jokingly: "They’ve been bridesmaids for their mother [Kerry Katona] about five times already so they’re probably sick of it. There’s only so many times you can be a bridesmaid. They must be thinking, ‘Not another f*****g wedding!’”

McFadden added that Danielle gets on very well with his teenage daughters, and he had originally intended for Molly (18) to help him out with the proposal.

He told OK! Magazine: "Our original plan was to do it on Christmas Day. I was going to give Danielle a box with a note inside saying 'Call Molly' and then Molly would ask Danielle to marry me, but we got bored of that idea. Molly is brilliant at keeping secrets, Lilly isn’t."

Brian eventually popped the question after a penthouse party, a few days before December 25.

Now he and Danielle are trying for a baby, but they haven't had any luck so far.

"It’s something we both really want. I’m 40 in April and Danielle will be soon. It hasn’t happened yet but it’s a lot of fun trying," he said.

Danielle added: "Absolutely [we would consider IVF]. We’ve even talked about adoption, we just really want kids."
