Brian McFadden has announced his engagement to Danielle Parkinson - and it couldn’t have been any more understated.
The former Westlife singer, who lives in Rochdale with his partner of three years, broke from the tradition of gushy messages and photos and instead opted for a more minimalist approach.
He tweeted: “FYI I got engaged t beautiful @DaniParky.”
The 39-year-old added: "And yes I’m very very happy."
This will be his third marriage - after Kerry Katona and Vogue Williams.
Brian met PE teacher Danielle in 2016 and moved in with her shortly after they started dating.
Dublin-born Brian - who has two children Molly Marie and Lilly-Sue with Kerry - has settled into life in Greater Manchester with ease thanks to his love of tranquil surroundings… and Manchester United.
The singer told the Manchester Evening News in September: “I am only 20 minutes from Old Trafford. I’m a massive red. That’s definitely the best thing about living where I live.
Speaking of Rochdale, he added: “We’re so busy and are rarely at home, but love it when we get in after travelling and can relax.
“It’s mostly in the evening and night time we’re there, and it’s so peaceful and such a nice change from living in big cities for so many years. It’s lovely to have a country feel around us, with all the greenery. I am definitely a country boy at heart.”
Fans, including a few famous faces, sent best wishes to Brain and Danielle, congratulating them on their good news.
Former Strictly professional dancer Ola Jordan said: “Congratulations guys.”
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said: “Congrats mate! Wonderful news.”
