Brian Laudrup names indispensable Rangers star as he tells Steven Gerrard 'keep him at all costs'

Brian Laudrup reckons Ryan Kent is the one player Rangers must do everything to keep this summer.

The Ibrox legend believes the winger has become indispensable for boss Steven Gerrard.

Leeds United have long been credited with interest in the former Liverpool youth, whom Laudrup admits he'd pay to watch.

High praise, indeed, from one of the club's most talented ever players.

Laudrup reckons another year or two with the Premiership champions will be enough for Kent to truly fulfil his potential.

He told The Glasgow Times: “I could mention a few, but if there is one player where I would say ‘keep him at all costs’ it would be Ryan Kent.

“Leeds have been after him for a year or two now. He is the kind of player you pay to watch. He’s the kind who can turn a dull game into a spectacular one.

"He opens up defences. You need players like that. Not only in Scotland but in Europe as well.

“He’s still got potential. In a year or two I think we will become even better. For me, he is an outstanding prospect.”
