Brian Easton says Hamilton owe their fans a performance in their derby showdown at Motherwell on Sunday.
The big defender says it's important for Hamilton to play their own game and put in a performance at Fir Park.
Skipper Easton feels Accies shot themselves in the foot in their 1-0 defeat at home to St Johnstone on Boxing Day, which halted the momentum from their 2-1 win over Hearts the previous Saturday, and says they need to start picking up points.
"We need to look at what we did wrong, what we did right, and try to get better for Sunday," he said.
"Where we are now, every game we play is massive for us. It's important to get points on the board. St Johnstone were only a point ahead of us, so we've lost ground on them a wee bit.
"We go into a derby game on Sunday and it's not only massive for us to get points and get up the table, but it's a big one for the fans, isn't it? It's the last game before we go into a wee winter break, so it's one we have to be ready for on Sunday.
"We're probably going to be underdogs, we probably enjoy that, but I suppose it doesn't matter too much, we have to go in there with the right attitude, and it's about what we do, really.
"I think on Thursday we lost ourselves, it wasn't anything special that St Johnstone did, so I think we need to concentrate on ways we can win the game.
"It's a derby game, the very least of expectations on us is that we're right up for it, and ready for the fight.
"It was a massive result for us against Hearts, and we were really disappointed not to pick up any points on Thursday, but that makes it even more important on Sunday now that we get something out of the game."
