Brian Dennehy dies: Dynasty and Cocoon actor was 81

Brian Dennehy, who was best known for roles in Dynasty and Cocoon, has died at the age of 81.

His daughter Elizabeth said the actor had died from natural causes on Wednesday, and it was not related to coronavirus.

She said on Twitter: “It is with heavy hearts we announce that our father Brian passed away last night from natural causes, not Covid-related.

“Larger than life, generous to a fault, a proud and devoted father and grandfather, he will be missed by his wife Jennifer, family and many friends.”

Mr Dennehy also starred in the 1982 film First Blood alongside Sylvester Stallone, playing the sheriff hunting down John Rambo.
