Brian Cody confirmed to take charge of Kilkenny for 24th season

Brian Cody will return as Kilkenny boss for 2022 the county board has confirmed.

Cody will lead the Cats for his 24th season with news breaking on Monday evening that he will once again take charge.

In a statement released by the Kilkenny county board, they said: "Following Monday nights County Board meeting the ratification of Kilkenny’s inter-county management teams for the 2022 season took place. Brian Cody will be the Kilkenny senior manager for his 24th season in charge.

"Kilkenny GAA wishes all our management teams and panels the very best of luck in the season ahead."

Kilkenny won the 2021 Leinster Hurling Championship under Cody but were beaten by Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final this year and have not lifted the Liam MacCarthy since 2015.
