Brian Baldinger: Aaron Donald has strong case as best interior D-lineman ever

Aaron Donald is no stranger to receiving extremely high praise from fans, players and analysts, having won two straight Defensive Player of the Year awards. Many have already called him a future Hall of Famer despite only having five years of experience in the NFL.

With five Pro Bowls, four first-team All-Pro selections and a Super Bowl appearance, it’s easy to see why some people view him as a lock for Canton.

Former NFL offensive lineman and current analyst Brian Baldinger loves Donald’s game. He recently broke down some film on Donald for his series “Baldy Breakdowns” and called No. 99 the greatest interior defensive lineman ever.

“In five short seasons and back-to-back Defensive MVP awards, Aaron Donald is making a claim to be the most dominant interior defensive lineman in the history – the 100-year history of this game,” Baldinger said.

In the eight-minute video, Baldinger breaks down several plays by Donald that show his sheer dominance from the interior of the defensive line. There isn’t anyone better than Donald in the NFL right now, and when it’s all said and done, he might very well be the best ever.
