The EU's chief Brexit negotiator says the bloc would consider a "genuine customs union" to get the Withdrawal Agreement signed off.
Michel Barnier once again reiterated the agreement is not up for debate but the Political Declaration on future relations could be developed.
He said this could mean "adding to a free trade agreement" and a "genuine customs union", as he expressed his hope the cross party Labour and Tory talks would find a compromise.
These comments come as Theresa May heads for top level Brexit talks in Berlin and Paris after Parliament moved to take more control of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
