Brexit LIVE: Opposition leaders agree pact to try and block no-deal 'through legislation or vote of confidence'

Opposition leaders led by Jeremy Corbyn have officially formed a pact to try and block a no-deal Brexit.

In a joint statement, the Westminster opposition leaders said they "agreed on the urgency to act together to find practical ways to prevent no-deal, including the possibility of passing legislation and a vote of no confidence".

It comes after Labour Party leader Mr Corbyn held a much-anticipated cross-party meeting on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson hit back in a tweet, saying: "The referendum result must be respected. We will leave the EU on 31st October."
