Boris Johnson's prorogation of Parliament has been ruled as "unlawful" by Scotland's highest civil court.
Judges in Edinburgh approved the legal bid to challenge the suspension of Parliament. The case, brought by a cross-party group of politicians, is now expected to be challenged in the Supreme Court.
The blow to Mr Johnson came as Labour's deputy leader Tom Watson vowed to fight a no-deal Brexit when Parliament returns next month.
Speaking in London, Mr Watson called on the party to back a second referendum before any general election.
