The European Union will agree to a Brexit delay until May on the condition that the PM's withdrawal agreement is approved by Parliament next week, according to reports.
Theresa May today said a short extension "would give Parliament time to deliver the result of the referendum" as she arrived in Brussels to make her case for an extension to Article 50.
A draft of the summit conclusions being considered by the EU27 suggested that the UK could be offered an extension to May 22, which fell short of the Prime Minister's original request.
Mrs May appealed for EU leaders to accept an extension to the withdrawal process until June 30.
