Brewin Dolphin promotes trio to director in Scotland

Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has appointed three new divisional directors across its Scottish offices.

Alistair Douglas, who joined Brewin Dolphin 12 years ago, steps up from assistant director in Edinburgh, while Alan MacPhee and David Moore have been promoted in Aberdeen and Glasgow respectively.

Douglas, part of the Edinburgh private client team, studied at the University of Aberdeen before completing an MBA at Coventry University, and became a Chartered Wealth Manager in 2010.

MacPhee has been with Brewin Dolphin ’s Aberdeen office since 2005 and became a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) in 2009.

Moore becomes divisional director in Glasgow after nine years with Brewin Dolphin. He previously spent 12 years with Barclays Wealth and has been a Chartered Wealth Manager since 2005.

Brewin Dolphin, which employs more than 200 people in Scotland, has made the promotions less than two months after announcing seven new hires in Glasgow and less than a year after refreshing its Edinburgh leadership team.

Marc Wilkinson, regional director for Scotland at Brewin Dolphin, said: “Alistair, Alan, and David have played important roles in their respective offices over the course of their careers with Brewin Dolphin – their promotions are well deserved.

"I look forward to watching each of them play more prominent roles in their teams, helping our clients achieve their financial goals. Despite economic and political headwinds, our Scottish business continues to go from strength to strength, as more people look for financial advice during such uncertain times.”
