BrewDog confirm new Edinburgh hotel with bedroom beer taps to open this year

BrewDog have announced that they will be opening a brand new hotel in Edinburgh this year.

The Scottish brewers made the exciting confirmation today (April 11) that an entire hotel dedicated to their beer-lovers will be created in the coming months.

Earlier this year, founder James Watt had teased Edinburgh locals with a tweet stating he was looking at plans to bring a new site to the capital.

However, the brand have pulled through with their promises, stating that the 'Dog House' will open in 2021.

The hotel will take over a derelict and existing building on East Market Street, near Waverley Station in the city centre.

An image of the plans released by BrewDog has also shown a rooftop bar sitting over what appears to be reception for guests and locals to enjoy.

In the announcement, Watt also stated that beer taps and mini bars filled with their products will be available in every room, and there will even be fridges in the shower for beers.

The brewer already has a few hotels around the world, with their first opening in Aberdeen, followed by Manchester and other cities.

Although not confirmed for the Edinburgh site, all other hotels are dog friendly, meaning you can bring your pooch along with you.

The brand currently also have two bars in Edinburgh, one in the Cowgate and one on Lothian Road.
