Bressie finally gets keys to first home after 22 ‘heartbreaking’ years of renting

Irish rocker Bressie has opened up about finally getting his foot on the property ladder after 22 ‘heartbreaking’ years of renting.

The Westmeath man picked up the keys to his first home after "one hell of a tough journey".

The Irish rocker took to social media to share the news that he has received the keys.

The former Blizzards frontman posted a snap of himself holding up the keys to his new front door.

He captioned the image on Instagram: “22 years of breaking my heart paying rent, today I received the keys for my first home.

"It’s one hell of a tough journey to get there and thank you to all that helped along the way. "

The Mullingar native, real name Niall Breslin, added: "Now I have to get on YouTube to up my DIY skills (which I have zero of)"

Bressie wore a black leather jacket, a denim shirt and a white t-shirt in the pic.

Fans and friends flocked to the comments to shower the singer with congratulations.

TV star Darren Kennedy wrote: "Congrats Man."

Baz Ashmawy posted: "Congrats man".

Kodaline's Steve Garrigan added: "Congrats bro".

In his career to date, Niall Breslin has been a successful singer, rugby and GAA star, and a Voice of Ireland coach.
