Brentford vs Norwich player ratings: Norgaard and Henry impress in loss but improvements needed

Alvaro Fernandez

Nothing he could have done for the first goal which was down to poor defending, although he could have anticipated the penalty incident - something Raya would have done. 6

Zanka

Sustained an injury after 12 minutes. N/A

Pontus Jansson

Won his duels and headers in a good captain's performance. 6

Ethan Pinnock

A makeshift left-back after Henry's departure, a good performance. Although he could have closed down Normann a lot more quicker for the visitors' opener. 6

Sergi Canos

Looked very energetic against his former club and bursting forward when possible trying to make things happen. 6

Vitaly Janelt

Had a good 45 minutes on his return and will be a key player when the break's over. 6

Christian Norgaard

In an ideal world, he would have had a brace but for Tim Krul's heroics. Arguably Brentford's best performer on the day. 7

Mathias Jensen

Did OK in midfield, with some set-pieces but the Dane appears to be too lightweight in this current set-up. 5

Rico Henry

A superb goal from the left-back, unfortunate it didn't lead to a onslaught. Can hold his head up high. 7

Bryan Mbeumo

Was really unlucky to have a goal ruled out by VAR but his work rate is why he remains such a key player for Brentford and Thomas Frank. It'll be his day eventually but unfortunately, not at the moment. 7

Ivan Toney

Got a rash booking for his troubles earlier, but another good performance from the striker. Tried to get Brentford going on the attacks, drifted out wide and was a thorn for the Norwich defence. 7

SUBS:

Charlie Goode

Was at sea for the second goal, which he ultimately gave away. Other than that, not too bad for someone making their Premier League debut. 5

Saman Ghoddos

The Iranian has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, and a superb peach of a cross got the Bees back into the contest . 6

Marcus Forss

The Finn wasn't able to impose himself enough to make a huge impact, as a first Premier League goal eludes him. 5
