Brentford's Sergi Canos makes desperate plea to fans after Liverpool draw

Brentford's Sergi Canos has issued a plea to fans to return his 'very personal' shinpads after they were mistakenly given away to a fan.

The Bees winger was one of the stars for his newly-promoted side as they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw as they face the Reds in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Canos swung in the cross which was flicked on by Ivan Toney for Ethan Pinnock's 27th-minute opener.

Liverpool equalised through Diogo Jota's header before Mo Salah grabbed his 100th Premier League goal in a Reds shirt thanks to a successful VAR check after he was originally flagged for being offside.

Back came Brentford, though, and when Pontus Jansson slid in to crash Ajer’s cross onto the bar, Janelt popped up at the far post to force the loose ball home.

Curtis Jones then blasted Liverpool back in front in the 67th minute before Bees sub Wissa arrived at the far post and produced a composed finish to equalise yet again.

But following the thrilling encounter Spanish winger Sergi Canos, who spent three years at Liverpool as a youngster, lost his shinpads which he says contain 'very personal family pictures'.

In a tweet, the Brentford star issued a plea to fans to help him find the shinpads, as he offered to exchange them for 'boots or shirts instead'.

Canos wrote: "Guys please I left my shin pads on the touchline and some security guy gave them away to you.

"They are very personal with my family pictures. Can someone help me find them?

"I will give you boots or shirts instead."

One fan may know what's happened to them, though.

They tweeted in reply: "Don’t know if it helps but I think they were given to someone in E115 down the front. Maybe can track that way?"

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the shinpads should contact Brentford Football Club.
