A teenager and a young man have been rushed to hospital after a double stabbing in Wembley, just days after two men were fatally shot in the area.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance raced to Carlton Avenue East to reports of multiple stabbings in broad daylight, at about 2.45pm.

Once there, they found a teen who had been stabbed. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Moments later, in Preston Park, officers found another person suffering from stab wounds.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital and is in a critical condition, police said.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Both males have been transported to London hospitals for treatment. Crime scenes and cordons are in place.

“Officers from Brent investigate. At this early stage there have been no arrests.”

The knife attacks come just days after a young stadium worker on his way home from work was fatally shot on Sunday, in Monks Park, Wembley, and another man was shot close by on Friday.

Kwasi Mensah-Ababio, 26, was found slumped on a park bench near his home in Wembley on Sunday evening, less than 200 yards from where rapper Craig “Smallz” Walters was killed on Friday.

Detectives were understood to be looking at the possibility Mr Mensah-Ababio, a steward at Wembley stadium, was attacked as he walked home from work in retaliation for the earlier death.
