Brent crash: One-year-old fighting for life after pushchair hit by car in north west London

A one-year-old child is fighting for life after a pushchair was hit by a car in north west London.

The baby has been rushed to hospital and is in a critical condition, police said.

The driver of the vehicle is said to have stopped at the scene on Church Road in Brent immediately after the incident.

No arrests have been made, according to a tweet posted by Brent MPS.

It is not known if the child is a boy or girl.

Nobody else was injured in the collision.

Pictures from the scene show a red pushchair on a road next to a stationary car.

Police and ambulance are at the scene on the A407 between Willesden and Harlesden.

Part of the road between Neasden Lane and Craven Park Road near the Harvest Energy petrol station has remained closed since around 3.30pm.
