Brendan Rodgers has revealed he will be watching this weekend's clash between his former club Celtic and arch rivals Rangers .
The Northern Irishman departed the Scottish champions last month to join Leicester City, leaving Hoops supporters furious.
Rodgers was dubbed a "snake" and "Judas" by Celtic fans hurting after two-and-a-half years of domestic dominance. The 46-year-old had previously claimed to be in "the best job in the world" at his boyhood heroes".
But despite the bitter end to his time in Glasgow, Rodgers admits he is keen to watch the tie on Sunday, and will be cheering on his old club.
He told our sister paper Leicestershire Live : "Yeah, I'll watch the game. They are always great occasions.
"Obviously this game, being at home, the dynamic of the game has changed because of the away support.
"But they really are extra special occasions. I was involved in 13 of them, so I understand them well. It should be a great game and I am hoping that my old team can continue with their good work."

Rodgers also spoke about the unique atmosphere in matches between the two teams.
He added: "The passion and intensity in it is totally different to what I've experienced, and I've been involved in derby games at my other clubs.
"The atmosphere at Celtic Park is amazing and, of course, when it gets to that game it's even more special.
"Hopefully, they can go and perform well, and get the result they want."
