Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has once again stated that no players will be leaving his club this month.
Although, he has suggested there could be some movement - on one condition.
Following an excellent start to the season which sees the Foxes in the Champions League places ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, some of their key players have been linked with exits during the winter window.
James Maddison is said to be a target for the Red Devils, while Ben Chilwell is reportedly on the radar of Chelsea as Frank Lampard seeks to solve his problem at left-back.
As expected, Rodgers has issued a hands-off warning yet again.
However, he might have offered the aforementioned clubs some hope by stating that players will be sold if the club want them to go.
"Nobody will leave here that we don't want to go," he said, as per Sky Sports .
"I think we've had a couple of enquiries in terms of loans and for some of our younger players.
"But the players that are always talked about and mentioned, there will be nobody going."
"We know if we're going to be playing European football next season then we're going to need the depth but January is a very difficult month," he added.
"I think we'll see if we can improve the squad and if we don't then we'll have to wait until the summer but as I've said before we're in a really good place and we don't want to stockpile.
"They have to be players that are going to improve the squad."
With that said, it's unlikely that the Foxes will be willing to cash in on any of their star players at this stage of the season and that includes Chilwell.
But it should be pointed out that money does speak volumes in any window.
Football.london understands that Blues head coach Frank Lampard will have £150m to spend in January and it remains to be seen if he tries to tempt Leicester into changing their stance over the England international.
