Kelechi Iheanacho hailed a "massive three points" for Leicester as they took a big step towards the Champions League.
The third-placed Foxes remain firmly on course for the top four after coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace with a much improved second half display.
Brendan Rodgers' side are now seven points above fifth-placed West Ham ahead of visiting Southampton on Friday.
Nigerian striker Iheanacho teed up Timothy Castagne in the 50th minute to cancel out Wilfried Zaha's early opener.
Then he scored his 14th goal in 14 games to clinch victory for Leicester with a late left-foot screamer.
Iheanacho said: “It is a massive three points for us.
“We didn't start well, it was a sloppy goal.
“Second half we change it around and got control of the game and got them running.
“When you have confidence in the game it makes you perform really well.
“When you score a goal it gets your mind high and you keep scoring.
“It give us a boost to go to the next game.
“We still have five games left, we can't talk about the Champions League now until the last game.”
Victory secured back to back home wins for the FA Cup finalists.
Boss Rodgers said: “What was really good was the patience we kept in the game to keep probing and passing.
“We had that hunger and desire to get the three points.
“It was our chance to show we could stand and fight and keep your composure.”
Leicester were indebted to Jonny Evans for a vital goal-saving tackle on Christian Benteke at 1-1 from Jairo Riedewald's pass.
Rodgers added: “That tackle was as good as a goal.
“He is one of the best centre halves in European football.”
Rodgers was also asked about the vacancy at managerless Tottenham, who are nine points below the Foxes.
He replied: "It is not something I have thought about.
"My focus is here at Leicester. We have had a great win tonight, we will recover now and get ready for the next game."
