Brendan Rodgers provides Leicester team news hint that will please West Ham fans

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he will make changes to his team ahead of this afternoon's Premier League clash against West Ham United.

The Foxes have had faced both Manchester City and Liverpool in the last seven days, losing both games by an aggregate score of 7-1, and come to the London Stadium looking to return to the form that saw them climb to second in the table.

As with West Ham, the fixture will be Leicester's second in just three days, and Rodgers has said that the lack of time between games means that he will make changes to his team.

"We’ll make a number of changes," he said (via the Mirror ).  "Players will want to play every game but it’s physically hard to do that to play to the level they want to.”

The Premier League leading goalscorer, Jamie Vardy has so far started every Premier League game this season, but Rodgers hinted last week that the striker could be one of the players that he rests for the trip to Stratford.

"The players aren't robots, it's not a computer game," said Rodgers, as reported by the BBC .

Asked if players such as Vardy would be able to cope with the lack of rest between games, Rodgers was unequivocal in his answer.

"No chance. You cannot risk the fitness of a player," he said.

"You play on the 26th, a high-intensity game against Liverpool, fighting for the result.

"You get that first day of recovery - but it's the second day where it's really tough for a player.

"If we go along that route then the second day, instead of recovering, we're kicking off at 5.30pm at West Ham.

"It's just nonsense really."
