Brendan Rodgers outlines Leicester stance on Adam Lallana move amid Arsenal and Tottenham links

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has denied reports that the Foxes have made an approach for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

The England international has been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium during the summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham also said to be interested in making a move for the Liverpool man who will be available on a free transfer.

Sky Sports News reported earlier in the week that Leicester were the first team to make an approach to Lallana's representatives ahead of a possible summer move.

However, speaking in his press conference ahead of their Premier League game against Manchester City, Rodgers denied that that is the case.

"I’ve seen a lot of stuff around Adam and that we’ve approached Liverpool, which obviously isn’t the case," he said, as reported by Leicestershire Live.

"Adam's a wonderful player and he's got a great attitude. When I took him into Liverpool, he was unfortunate early on with injuries, but he's shown during his time there that when he's fit and available, he's a fantastic player.

"He’s at the stage of his contract where he will have options.

"Certainly what's been out there over these past few days, it's not the case."

Lallana is out of contract at the end of the season and has previously worked under Rodgers during the Northern Irishman's time at Anfield.
