Brendan Rodgers opens up on Leicester transfer plans amid Alfredo Morelos links

Brendan Rodgers insists Leicester City will be "very quiet" on the transfer front until football is in full swing amid links with Alfredo Morelos.

A report in Colombia claimed the Rangers striker was a target for the Foxes this summer.

Leicester are also reported to be interested in a move for Arsenal's Kieran Tierney if Ben Chilwell joins Chelsea.

But former Celtic boss says the Premier League club have made very few enquiries so far, but insists their acitivity will "ramp up" in the near future.

Speaking to the Leicester City Football Forum, he said: “It’s been very, very quiet, to be honest. And of course, we’re aware of what we need in order to continue to improve.

“But it’s felt difficult. I’ve got to be honest to talk too much on it because we’re still finding out where everything is going to be.

"There’s obviously a lot of speculation going around. So there are rumours and gossip about players and everything, which is pretty right for the moment.

“But in terms of inquiries, we have been very, very quiet. And in relation to improve the squad – of course, we’ve had lots of conversations.

"And that will really start to probably ramp up a little bit more once we get back into football and people understand where the climate is.”

Morelos has been widely linked with a move away from Ibrox and it's not the first time Leicester have been named as a potential suitor.

The striker was also the subject of a report on Wednesday morning stating that Qatari side Al-Duhail were looking at the 23-year-old, but Rangers would demand a fee of over £15million.
