Brendan Rodgers makes Leicester City claim as he compares Foxes to his invincible Celtic side

Brendan Rodgers insists securing a top-four place for Leicester City would match any of the honours he achieved as Celtic gaffer.

Rodgers won a double Treble with the Hoops, including an Invincible domestic season in 2016-17.

In total his Celtic side achieved an incredible 69 domestic matches unbeaten before they finally came unstuck against Hearts at Tynecastle.

The former Liverpool boss picked up seven trophies in Scotland before jumping ship to Leicester, where he's now targeting Champions League football.

Yet asked if he’d be as proud of a top-four place for the Foxes he said: “If we were to do it, it would be up there. Celtic were a different challenge.

“We got into the Champions League and won a few trophies, fantastic.

“Coming to Leicester there’s not that expectancy. My challenge was: ‘Could I take the club to the top six?’ We’ve done that in our first full season. Now our goal is to arrive in the top four.”

Leicester face Jose Mourinho's Tottenham on Sunday before taking on Manchester United at the King Power on the final day of the season.
