Brendan Rodgers in North Belfast to watch young footballers

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was in North Belfast on Saturday to watch some youth football.

The former Celtic manager attended Saturday's fonaCAB Development League games at Solitude.

Carnlough native Rodgers was watching his nephew in action for Ardoyne in the grassroots league, which involves 90 teams at Under 6 and 7 age levels.

The league is organised by former Premiership title-winning defender Marc Smyth, who is head of Cliftonville's Academy.

Foxes supremo Rodgers has been using the international break to return home for a brief break.

Leicester sit 13th in the Premier League after seven games and return to action next Saturday against Manchester United.
