Brendan Rodgers hailed for Leicester revival ahead of first return to Liverpool

Wilfred Ndidi has hailed Brendan Rodgers' revolution for turning around the club.

The Foxes are preparing to tackle unbeaten Premier League leaders Liverpool on Saturday.

Midfielder Ndidi reckons City are hugely improved since boss Rodgers replaced Claude Puel in February.

He has since guided them to third this term and into the Carabao Cup last 16 after coming ninth last season following a late revival.

Leicester recorded their biggest Premier League win last weekend smashing Newcastle 5-0 after losing to them at home in each of the two previous seasons.

The Toon defended deep but capitulated in the second period, having found themselves a goal and a man down after Isaac Hayden's sending off.

Ndidi, 22, on target against the Magpies, reflected: “You can see we have really improved. This season the coach has really upped us so that shows the quality in the team.

"It was a great performance because everyone was focused and we tried to move the ball very fast and with pace.

“I’m happy with the way the team is going, the way the lads are playing and where we are now, so we just keep going and we try to make things.

"It can’t be perfect but we try to get there.

“We want to give everything in every game and we think the fans will also enjoy it."

Rodgers returns to his former club with Liverpool having won all seven of their Premier League fixtures thus far.

But the Foxes have conceded just five goals so far this term, and arrive with four wins in their last five games.
