Brendan Rodgers believes Scott Brown could return to Parkhead in the future as Celtic manager.
The Hoops captain will leave Parkhead this summer to join Aberdeen as a player-coach under new Dons gaffer Stephen Glass.
It will end a 14-year, trophy-laden career at Celtic for Brown who joined the club in 2007.
He was Rodgers’ skipper when they enjoyed a period of sustained success on the way to a treble Treble.
And the Leicester City boss believes the esteem in which Brown is held at Celtic - as well as the qualities he’ll show as a coach - could lead him back to Parkhead.
Rodgers told MailSport: “There’s no doubt that Scott has the capacity to go back to Celtic one day and be manager of the club. He clearly wants to learn the ropes as a coach.
“It’s difficult to jump straight into management. He’ll go with Stephen at Aberdeen and together, they’ll learn about coaching. He’s going to a very good club.
“If he shows that same hunger and dedication that he had as a player, as a coach, he’ll be successful.
“If he can transfer the influence he has as a player on to his coaching, there’s definitely a pathway for Scott to go back and manage Celtic. He’s absolutely loved there.”
