The daughter of the late Brendan Grace has revealed she’s got a tattoo of her iconic father’s signature.
Amanda Grace is the eldest daughter of the Irish comedian, who died in July 2019 after a short battle with cancer, aged 68.
She revealed that she misses her father’s letters he used to write to her, so she got his signature tattooed on her arm.
She said: “I miss this writing and the cards he would send, often addressed to the dog, with a fiver inside and a note to him to ‘buy your mammy an ice cream’.
“It was his favourite thing to do and was such a big part of him that I’ve since had his signature tattooed on my arm.”
She made the comment as she replied to comedian Katherine Lynch’s Facebook post, where she shared a letter from Brendan that she received in the past.
“Thanks for sharing this,” she told Katherine, adding: “We love him to be remembered.”
Brendan’s wife Eileen previously opened up about having difficult days without him.
“I miss him terribly in every aspect of my life. I miss us as a couple...
“It’s not easy. Grief like you said, if you love deeply, you grieve deeply,” she told Marty Morrissey on RTE Radio One at the time.
