Brendan Cole and Dancing on Ice partner Vanessa Bauer have taken a battering as they train for the new series.
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan has bad cuts on both shins – and he sliced Vanessa’s back open with his blades.
The pair took a nasty tumble on the ice as they put in the hours two months ahead of the show.
Brendan said: "It’s actually really scary. When things go wrong, things go catastrophically wrong.
"We had a fall. We were literally spinning around. There was no way to put her down safely, because once you go, you go.
"The cuts are very big when the blades go into your shins, it really hurts. Twice already – one day on the left leg and the next day on the right leg."
Vanessa jokingly dubbed him "bad Brendan" on social media after he cut her back.
But the pair are still up for performing the show’s famous "headbanger" move.
Brendan said: "Headbanger week one, that’s what I’m working for. Triple axel week one."
But Vanessa sounded a note of caution, pointing out: "He did drop me."
