Bredbury Hall Hotel’s new owners are planning on creating 100 new jobs when it reopens next month
Vine Hotels, a management and development company, has purchased the 149-bedroom site — which was sold by administrators with an asking price of £5.25 million.
The firm fell into administration last October, at a loss of 90 jobs, after taking a heavy financial hit due to the pandemic.
Now, new owners Vine Hotels are promising to ‘significantly’ invest in upgrading the property, reports BusinessLive .
“Bredbury Hall is an exciting property. Combining a superb location with heritage and a long-established connection with its local community,” Vine Hotels chairman Greg Dyke said.
"It has immense potential for the future, and we look forward to helping Bredbury Hall take its rightful place as one of Stockport’s best hotels.”
The hotel will reopen with a 200-cover restaurant, 60-cover lounge-bar and brasserie, ten meeting rooms for up to 200 for a cocktail reception, a 180-delegate theatre, a fitness centre and a 16th century barn space holding up to 900 people.
Vine Hotels beat off numerous bidders to secure the premises, according to one of the businesses which conducted the sale.
Peter Broadbent, from FRP Advisory Trading Limited, added: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of Bredbury Hall Hotel and Country Club, a well renowned venue in the North West.
“A strong level of interest was received over the course of the marketing process which reflects both the Hotel’s inherent popularity and the potential for a prospective purchaser”.
Vine Hotels is an independent multiple hotel group which operates 10 hotels across the UK.
