The Lib Dems have beaten the Tories in the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election, a result which has reduced Boris Johnson's working majority to one.
Jane Dodds beat Chris Davies by a margin of 1,425 votes. He was standing for the Conservative Party despite being ousted by constituents following a conviction for submitting fake expenses invoices.
The Tory loss will add to the PM's challenges to steer Brexit through Parliament and may increase the chances of a snap general election.
Ms Dodds clinched 13,826 votes, compared to Mr Davies's 12,401. Turnout at the vote was 59.72%.
