Brean Theme Park closed after being battered by Storm Hannah

A popular leisure park in Somerset has closed following Storm Hannah.

Brean Theme Park, which is just off the M5, has closed as it is not safe for visitors.

The leisure park was battered by gale-force winds during Storm Hannah, which also saw traffic delays and power cuts in and around Bristol.

A weather warning remains in place until 3pm (April 27), when winds should ease.

"We intended to open today as planned but it is not safe to allow people onsite until the storm passes.  We will begin to clear away the debris and start repairing the damage.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and we will post updates throughout the day."

Photos posted to social media show damage to rides and debris blown about the park.
