'Breaks my Palace loving heart!' - Some Eagles fans react to Wilfried Zaha deadline day update

Crystal Palace fans are still waiting for their first signing on transfer deadline day.

The Eagles landed two new signings yesterday (Thursday), with Victor Camarasa arriving on a season-long loan from Real Betis, while James McCarthy signed on a permanent deal from Everton.

But the big topic for Palace fans is the future of Wilfried Zaha, with the Eagles ace submitting a transfer request ahead of deadline day amid interest from Arsenal and Everton this summer.

And with Zaha not involved in first team training with Palace today, as reported by Sky Sports, it has got some Eagles supporters worried about his future and whether he will still be at the club after the deadline at 5pm this afternoon.

It is understood that Zaha did not train with the first team, but did train on his own in the gym, having returned to Palace this week after his involvement at the African Cup of Nations this summer.

Palace have remained firm in their stance on Zaha, who signed a five-year contract last summer, with the Eagles valuing the Ivory Coast international in excess of £80million.

The Eagles have previously rejected bids from Arsenal and Everton this summer, with the Gunners making an initial bid of £40million, while the Toffees have been rebuffed over a £52million bid.

Everton have retained their interest in the player, and there have been reports that the Toffees could return with a late bid to try and sign Zaha, ahead of the start of the new season, with Palace facing the Merseyside club at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

It is understood that Zaha could still stay at Palace, but the latest update on Zaha has got Eagles fans talking on social networking website this afternoon.
