YouTube comments were reporting a major bug on the Google-owned site affects thousands of users.
Users reported comments had suddenly stopped appearing on the hugely popular video sharing platform.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector had seen a huge increase in reports of YouTube being down - which began around 6pm BST.
According to Downdetector.com, which registers complaints of websites by users, there had been a peak of around 2,400 reports of YouTube comments being down.
YouTube users had also taken to Twitter to report issues with comments not appearing for many users, according to the Express.
Dissatisfied YouTube users wrote on Twitter to express their dismay.
One tweeted: "Great youtube is being weird not loading comments".
A user wrote: "Is it just me or I can't see any YouTube comments except like one just recently??"
While another posted: "Where are the youtube comments??? @YouTube".

One added: "@youtube comments aren’t loading".
YouTube comments were not showing on the YouTube website as well as on the YouTube iPhone app.
Although on the Android app, the top comment appears in YouTube videos but all other comments were unavailable.
Meanwhile, the official Team YouTube support Twitter account has confirmed there is a problem with the comments section as they try to fix the bug.
The YouTube Twitter account replied to one user who was complaining about the bug: "We're aware of this. We're currently working on a fix."
Reports of issues with the Google-owned have dropped significantly with the problem fixed an over an hour and a half after it was first reported.
