A murder probe has been launched following the death of a woman in Leeds.
There was a huge police presence last night in the Whinmoor area of the city, where a woman was fatally injured in an assault.
No one has yet been arrested in connection with the woman's death.
Police were called shortly after 6.30pm, and specialist officers remain at the scene, Leeds Live reports.
West Yorkshire Police said this morning: "At 6.31pm on Sunday, emergency services attended Naburn Fold in Leeds after a woman was found with serious injuries.
"It was confirmed the woman had died at the scene and a murder investigation has been launched.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a police scene remains in place."
A house has been cordoned off as investigators probe the tragedy.
