A young man is in hospital after he was shot in the early hours this morning.
At around 2.50am this morning police were called to Penrhyn Avenue in Walthamstow to reports of a shooting.
They arrived to find a 22-year-old man who had been shot twice.
The man was taken to an east London hospital for treatment but his condition is not life threatening.
A crime scene remains in place.
No arrests have been made and enquiries by officers from the North East Command Unit CID continue.
