Severe fog warnings have been issued across parts of Britain this morning with temperatures set to plummet.
The Met Office has advised motorists to be extra careful across much of the East Midlands and into Yorkshire amid thick fog and mist.
The warning, in place from Peterborough up to York, runs until 10.30am and could cause major traffic delays.
Brits are, meanwhile, set to be battered by more freezing temperatures this week as the UK's sunny spell draws to a close.
Despite a weekend of bright skies, temperatures are expected to plummet to lows of around -1C from March 5.

The fog warning states: "Impaired visibility leading to slower journey times by car, and with possible delays to bus and train services."
It adds: "There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights."
The ominous outlook for later this week is a far cry from the weekend, which saw February end with spring-like sunshine.
The warm temperatures saw outdoor spaces fill up despite government advice to continue following Covid restrictions.
Officials had warned people in England only to go out for 'essential' reasons - alone, with their household or 'bubble', or one other person - and resist the temptation to take socialising in the sun too far.
The Met Office said the weather this week should remain dry and bright until Wednesday - however we're facing colder spells going forward.
It said: "Cloudy with showery rain for southern areas Wednesday, this clearing Thursday.
"Much colder, clearer weather already across the north, then follows southwest late Thursday. Frosts becoming widespread."
Temperatures are not predicted to rise back into the double digits again until later on in the month, from March 23.
