Troy Parrott has joined Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
Making his senior Premier League debut for Tottenham in December 2019 against Burnley, the talented frontman departed N17 in the summer to gain some valuable experience of playing in a first-team environment.
Heading across the capital to link up with Millwall, his season-long loan switch to join the Lions just didn't go as planned as he found himself in and out of the team.
Missing a large chunk of the opening couple of months of the campaign due to an ankle injury, the 18-year-old returned to action in November but he failed to complete a single 90 minutes for the Lions.
Dropping down to the bench in the team's last three league games, Gary Rowett failed to introduce Parrott at all and Spurs quite clearly believed that he needed to move elsewhere to make his year away from the club a success.
Having been recalled by the Lilywhites over the weekend, Parrott, who failed the net in 14 games for Millwall, has now signed a deal with Ipswich Town until the end of the season.
Currently 11th in League One and four points adrift of the final play-off place, Paul Lambert will have his fingers crossed that Parrott can rediscover his form in front of goal and shoot them back to the Championship.
Training with his new teammates at their Playford Road base this morning, Parrott will wear the No.40 shirt during his time in Suffolk.
Parrott will be hoping to be involved for his new side later this week with tricky away games at Peterborough and Shrewsbury Town on the agenda.
A statement on Millwall's official website read: "The club would like to thank Troy for his outstanding efforts whilst with the club and everyone at Millwall wishes him the best of luck for his future career."
