Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Antonio Conte as the club's new head coach on a 18-month deal, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.
Santo was sacked as Spurs manager on Monday morning following a humbling 3-0 defeat to Manchester United in north London on Saturday evening, one that saw players, manager and the board booed by the fans.
Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford proved to be the final nail in the coffin for the Portuguese and Tottenham have now turned to a manager they tried to appoint ahead of Espirito Santo in the summer.
Spurs will be expecting an instant impact from Conte given the Italian's past successes with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan while getting a misfiring Harry Kane back to his best will also be priority.
The club announced the deal with a short video on Twitter with the caption: "Buongiorno Antonio..."
A statement from the club's website read: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Antonio Conte as our Head Coach on a contract until the summer of 2023, with an option to extend.
"Antonio has won titles in Serie A, including a hat-trick of Scudettos with Juventus, the Premier League and also managed Italy, leading the Azzurri to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016."

The club continued by detailing his career to date, both as a player and manager, before concluding the statement by announcing that further information regarding the Italian's coaching staff will be confirmed shortly.
