Three teenagers killed in horror crash after car smashes into tree

Three teenagers have died after a car crashed into a tree on a rural road near Sheffield.

The men, two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old, were pronounced dead at the scene following the horror smash on Sunday at around 6.10pm

Police said a white Ford Fiesta was being driven between Sheffield and Worksop, South Yorkshire, when it left the road and crashed into a tree.

Police have urged people to stay away from the area while emergency services continue to work at the scene.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "We are on scene in Kiveton Park this evening after a road traffic collision in which three men have died.

"The three occupants, two-19-year-olds and an 18-year-old, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"Their families have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

"The car had been travelling along Kiveton Lane, close to the Todwick Court junction when it had left the road and collided with a tree.

"Please stay clear of the area this evening while emergency services carry out their work."

Anyone with information relating to the crash is urged to ring South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 676 of October 24.
