Three people hurt after 'stabbing' near high school in Stockport

Three people have been hurt following a 'stabbing' near a high school in Stockport.

Emergency services were called to the incident, near The Fairway in Offerton, on Tuesday afternoon (September 1).

Three people were taken to hospital, police said.

Their gender and ages have not been revealed - nor has the extent of their injuries.

No arrests have been made, the force siad. Enquiries are ongoing.

Pictures from the scene showed several police cars parked up outside Castle Hill High School.

Officers remained there until around 7pm.

In a statement, a GMP spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a stabbing off The Fairway in Offerton, Stockport on Tuesday, September 1.

"Emergency services attended and three people have been taken to hospital with injuries.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1969 of 01/09/2020.
