Teenager rushed to hospital with serious injuries after city centre stabbing

A 16-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Manchester city centre.

Police were called to Quenby Street in Hulme at around 5.30pm this evening (Thursday).

The teenager was found with serious injuries.

Officers remain at the scene near the city centre this evening as they carry out enquiries 'to establish the circumstances' of the incident.

The force has not yet confirmed whether anyone has been arrested.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called just before 5.30pm today (11 November 2021) to reports a teenager had been stabbed at Quenby Street, Manchester city centre.

"A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"A scene is in place whilst enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident."
