Switzerland team bus crashes into police car on way to Brazil World Cup game

The Switzerland team bus crashed into the back of a police car on the way to their World Cup match with Brazil.

The coach wasn't travelling at speed and no one was hurt in the incident after the driver lost control while in a queue of traffic and collided with the car in front of it. The vehicle behind then crashed into the bus.

The Switzerland team made it to Stadium 974 in one piece following the minor bump for their World Cup Group G clash with Brazil. The kick-off time is not due to be delayed as a result.

Brazil and Switzerland are the favourites to progress from the group following Cameroon's 3-3 draw with Serbia earlier this Monday.

Serbia, who were beaten 2-0 by Brazil in their first World Cup clash in Qatar took a 3-1 lead over their opponents - who lost 1-0 to Switzerland in their first match of the tournament - but were pegged back.

Serbia boss Dragan Stojkovic could not hide his disappointment and felt both Cameroon's second-half goals were down to "two huge" defensive lapses.

Stojkovic said: "Of course, players should not lose their heads. We are frustrated as we wanted the win and had the match in our hands, but our silly mistakes allowed Cameroon to avoid defeat.

"We made two huge mistakes in the defence. At this level, it is very dangerous to go high up when your opponent has the ball. These two mistakes cost us victory. It is difficult to understand and completely unnecessary."

Neymar and Danilo are both out with ankle injuries for Brazil this Monday and have been replaced by Fred and Eder Militao in the starting XI for Switzerland.

The Manchester United midfielder isn't the obvious contender to replace Neymar, especially considering Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have been called up for Brazil.
