England seamer Stuart Broad has entered the record books after becoming just the seventh bowler in history to make it to 500 Test wickets.
He achieved the feat in the third Test against the West Indies on Tuesday as he dismissed Kraigg Braithwaite.
James Anderson is the only Englishman who has achieved more wickets, and is currently on 589.
Ironically, his 500th wicket also came courtesy of Braithwaite.
The series against West Indies is currently level at 1-1, with England targeting a win on day five of the final Test at Old Trafford.
At the time of writing the West Indies are 53-3, with England closing in on victory.
The final day endured an early rain delay to keep Broad waiting on his 500th wicket.
After the entirety of Monday's play was washed out, the hosts were hoping to convert their huge lead into a series-clinching victory but were forced off again by an early passing shower.
In that time the West Indies added 25 runs in 25 minutes, reaching 35 for two as Brathwaite and Shai Hope favoured a positive approach.
But then came Broad's big moment. Having risked a couple of boundaries with his aggressive line, he went full and straight at Brathwaite and landed one of the clearest lbw appeals imaginable.
The umpire's finger went up immediately and there was never any prospect of a DRS review delaying Broad's celebrations.
He was mobbed by his team-mates and eventually held the ball aloft to mark the moment, albeit in front of the customary empty stands in this bio-secure Test series.
