Solihull murder: Man, 24, stabbed to death as police hunt killer

A 24-year-old man was knifed to death in Solihull last night.

Officers were called to Smith’s Wood just after 11.15pm on Friday to reports of a man being stabbed.

They found a 24-year-old man suffering from serious knife injuries.

 Despite the best efforts of medics he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A cordon remains in place to allow for investigations to be carried out in the area.

Detective Inspector Michelle Allen from West Midlands Police's homicide team, said: “A man has sadly lost his life and we are working hard to establish the circumstances around what happened.

No arrests have been reported at this stage.
