EastEnders’ Adam Woodyatt and Corrie’s Simon Gregson to enter I'm A Celebrity

Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt are to enter I'm A Celebrity.

The Coronation Street actor and the EastEnders star will arrive at the castle in scenes aired during tomorrow night's show, with fans getting a quick insight into the new arrivals at the end of tonight's show.

Simon is best known for starring as Steve McDonald in ITV soap Coronation Street, whilst Adam will be best known to UK viewers for playing Ian Beale in EastEnders for over three decades.

It is not uncommon for I'm A Celebrity to feature late arrivals, with Simon and Adam's names the top of a long list of celebs who have wandered into the castle - or jungle - grounds a few days after the first intake.

Last year, Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson were the late arrivals, whilst in the past, it has also included the likes of fellow Corrie star Andy Whyment and EastEnders' Cliff Parisi as well as Noel Edmonds - who still remains one of the highest paid celebs to ever enter the show - and Alison Hammond in the 2010 series.

Fans will no doubt be thrilled to see the pair joining the others in the castle, as they took to Twitter during the launch show to question where Simon and Adam were - after the pair were rumoured to be joining the line up.

"Was the stuff about Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt joining rubbish?" one questioned online.

Insiders had previously claimed that the pair signing up for the show was a big success for ITV bosses.

"Bosses know Corrie fans will get right behind him," a source previously shared of Simon's involvement in the show, "Everyone knows Simon as Steve but now they’ll get to see a completely different side of him for the first time.

"Simon has previously shunned all reality shows and he has turned down I’m A Celeb a number of times before. But now his children are older, he started to think the timing was right."

It is believed that the show being set in Wales again this year was a factor in Simon agreeing to the show, whilst Ian's co-star Tamzin Outhwaite exclusively told The Mirror that Adam would be "brilliant" on the programme.

Asked how she thought he would cope, she said: "Brilliantly. He's very resilient, he loves his food and he'll eat anything.

"He's definitely not like his character. He's a lovely man and you'll see the real side of him."
