Breaking: SEC to allow limited alcohol sales at sporting events for 2019-2020 calendar year

The SEC announced it had approved a significant change to its alcohol policies in stadiums Friday at the annual league meetings in Destin, Florida.

Limited alcohol sales will now be permitted inside collegiate stadiums in the conference to the general public, but it is up to each school to decide how much access they want to give fans.

Though alcohol is now permitted for sale, only beer and wine will be available. Drinks involving hard liquors will remain a part of the outside tailgate scene and in more premium seating locations.

More information on the upcoming changes can be found below that begin on August 1st.

This week, the University of Georgia voted to allow alcohol sales to members of the Dan Magill Society who donated $25,000 over a five-year period to the fund.

Now, with the newly approved regulations, things might be changing in Athens again.
