RAF Typhoons scrambled to intercept Russian 'bear' bomber and two jets

RAF Typhoon jets were scrambled to intercept a Russian TU-95 'bear' bomber and two planes today.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) reportedly say the Russian planes were "heading west close to Estonian airspace".

The RAF planes handed the escort over to Finish and Swedish QRA aircraft, according to reports.

An official statement is being planned by the MoD.
