Police are currently carrying out an investigation at a house in a quiet Blantyre street.
Officers have been in attendance at the Welsh Drive property since Wednesday, June 9.
A back garden has been sealed off and a tent has been erected outside the home with police securing the scene.
It is understood that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
One neighbour said: "Police are on the scene and it appears forensics are also there with a tent set up in the property's garden.
"We don't understand what is happening as yet."
Police Scotland have said that no criminality has been confirmed at this time.
A spokeswoman for the force told Lanrkshire Live : "Police are currently in attendance at a property on Welsh Drive in Blantyre.
"This is in relation to an ongoing investigation and we are unable to comment further at this time."
